The Macallan No. 6, an expression of the 1824 Masters Series, continues the legend of The Macallan Whisky Maker’s meticulous selection process. The stunning Lalique crystal decanter isn’t the first rarefied container this splendid, complex single malt has called home. The whisky takes its deep, dark walnut color and rich flavor from carefully chosen first-fill Spanish Sherry-seasoned oak casks handmade by the master craftsmen of Jerez de la Frontera, the home of Sherry. The result is a celebration of spice and dried fruit with a layer of heady orange groves.
The statuesque hexagonal decanter pays homage to the six pillars of The Macallan, and through its iconic triangular features, the liquid inside.
The Macallan No. 6 joins the other selections in the 1824 Masters Series that have been created to showcase the beautiful all-natural range of colors and flavors in our whiskies. As you progress up the range, the liquids used to make up the whiskies are richer, darker and rarer, while delivering the infinite quality and character at the heart of The Macallan.
